Dr. Melissa Martin brings more than 26 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to cultivating both the minds and character of young people. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of educational roles, working to support students, strengthen schools, and promote excellence in learning.
Before entering the field of education, Dr. Martin proudly served in the United States Air Force, where she developed a lifelong dedication to service, leadership, and discipline. Her commitment to the well-being of students and communities has also extended beyond the classroom. She previously served as a commissioner for the Texas Public School Finance Commission and as a board member for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, contributing her insight to important conversations about education and the future of Texas students.
Dr. Martin and her husband, Kevin, have been residents of Deer Park, Texas, for fifteen years. They have two grown children and two grandchildren. They are active members of their church and are deeply invested in the life of their community. Dr. Martin is passionate about classical Christian education and the opportunity it provides to guide students toward a lifelong love of learning while pursuing what is good, True, and beautiful.
