But those who wait on the Lord
shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
At LCCA, we believe that our identity as a Christian school is only true to the extent that Christ is genuinely worshiped in our midst. Our goal is to behold Christ through the study of the liberal arts, cultivating a culture of worship that is deep, joyful, and shared as a community. We want our students to recognize that when we study, read, experiment, think, write, discuss, debate, and create, we are living out what it means to be made in the image of God.
This pursuit is not merely academic—it is spiritual. Through our learning, we stretch our capacity to glimpse the immortal attributes of God, and in doing so, we deepen our love and reverence for Him. The true end of an LCCA education is spiritual formation and worship.
At LCCA, we stand within the rich heritage of the Western educational tradition—one that reaches back to the ancient civilizations of Greece, Rome and Jerusalem. At its best, this tradition has sought to cultivate wisdom and virtue in the hearts and minds of the young. It has served as a means of pursuing the highest truths, understanding the natural order of creation, and wrestling with the essential question: What does it mean to be human?
To pursue these noble ends, classical educators have long employed the seven liberal arts—grammar (including Latin), logic, rhetoric, music, arithmetic, geometry, and astronomy—as the foundational tools of learning. This rigorous and time-tested approach lies at the heart of a classical education, forming students not only for academic success, but for a life of thoughtful, virtuous service in God’s world.
